Founded in 2012, MY HAMMERHEAD SOLUTIONS (HHS) provides finish carpentry, décor installation and lite general contracting services primarily for nationwide retail operators with a strong emphasis in grocery environments. HHS is the sister company to Commercial Design Services (CDS), a leader in retail design and décor manufacturing. HHS is the exclusive installation company for all CDS manufactured products. This strategy of providing installation services with products designed and manufactured by sister companies is a very strategic and powerful offering. There is an inherent exchange and distribution of design intent and manufactured product knowledge within the company(s) when all services are provided with a “Concept to Keys” approach. The customer benefits from a single point of contact making the overall project management experience more efficient requiring less client management input and resources. In addition to providing installation services for CDS, HHS provides installation, pre- construction and limited general construction services to HHS direct client relationships.

Gene Wilson, President
Gene Wilson, President, MY HAMMERHEAD SOLUTIONS. Wilson has more than 30 years’ experience in construction, project management, land development and architecture. Wilson began his professional career as a general contractor and then started his own business. He owned a development and contracting business working with clients such as GUESS? to develop multi- million dollar manufacturing facilities. Prior to joining HHS, Wilson served for 14 years as Vice President of Construction for retail design, manufacturing and general contractor Palladeo and for 4 years as Vice President of Construction for idX Corporation. Wilson is also an owner of MY HAMMERHEAD SOLUTIONS.
Rick Klafka, West Coast Director of Operations
Rick Klafka, West Coast Director of Operations, MY HAMMERHEAD SOLUTIONS. Klafka’s recent experience of 15yrs in major grocery, retail and construction industries includes product development, fabrication and installation of signage and décor. Building on additional 30yrs of experience in commercial web and sheet feed printing have included responsibilities in management, production and distribution with nationwide companies networked through multiple sales and production facilities. Klafka also bring experiences including 5yrs as Postal Liaison for bulk mail catalog distribution on US and global levels with the United States Postal Service exceeding $100 million annually in postal revenue.
Scott vanHees, Mid-West Director of Operations
Scott vanHees, Mid-West Director of Operations, MY HAMMERHEAD SOLUTIONS. vanHees has more than 14 years’ experience in décor installation, fabrication and project management. He began his professional career as a décor installer with Commercial Design Systems where he worked his way to lead installer and further progressed to fabrication for CDS. vanHees has experience in trade show exhibits working for Pinnacle and Green Space Exhibits where he wore many hats including Production Manager, Estimator and Lead Builder. He return to CDS in 2011 as Director of Accounts and eventually made the move to Chicago where he serves in a dual role as Regional Director for CDS and Mid-West Director of Operations for MY HAMMERHEAD SOLUTIONS. vanHees is also an owner of MY HAMMERHEAD SOLUTIONS.
